[Event] A State Of Trance Rotterdam - Review

When the Passion for Trance calls, it takes me to ASOT Rotterdam !!!

In 2001 I fell in love of Trance when I discover this sonority on a French CD compilation " Reference Techno", and since then I have not only become a Trance lover but also DJ. Fast forward to 2024 when I travel to the Netherlands from my home in France to find the Trance Family and our passion of this universe under one roof.

Over a month ago, ASOT took place at Ahoy Rotterdam and what an amazing and powerful new edition in this new Destination. It may surprise you but it's only my 2nd time at this event !!! My 1st ASOT was in 2023 to celebrating 1000 episodes and new start with Reflexion, and I had to return this year.

For this edition, the city was decorated with flags, a big LED Cube and big flyers at Centraal Station for example and the result was more than up to par!!

When arriving at the location, you can see the biggest blue screen saying "Welcome into your new destination - A State of Trance" it's just another big preview of what awaits us.

Inside, the atmosphere was great and vibes were like Jaarebeurs Utrecht - and the best part is that it wasn't a long walk between the different areas.

Spending a lot of time at Ahoy means hunger strikes so a stop at the Rest Area for food was a necessity, plus the prices were similar to last year. Getting fresh fries at 6 euros in the corner was amazing and much better than a burger frozen 😋!!!

Looking back at my favorite sets my top 3 are:

1. Cold Blue: A powerful impressive voyage. 
2. anamé: Amazing start to finish 
3. Amy Wiles: Impressive me with another great set !!! 

To be united and speaking with Artists like anamé, Paavo, Cold Blue was so great. Very nice people close to their audience and very easy to catch up !!! I I also had the chance to meet the newest generation of artists like Claas Inc, Dreamy, Jan De Vice, Josie Sandfled, Nicar, Pittarus Code and State91. It was great to spend time exchanging information about projects, music production, vocalist, etc etc. I can't wait for the next edition!
