[Tech] AlphaTheta euphonia Professional 4-channel rotary mixer

I'm a nerd at heart so whenever new technology comes out there's a good chance I'm doing as much digging and research on it as possible. Recently PioneerDJ's parent company AlphaTheta released their OMNIS-DUO mixer, which I'm looking to get my hands on to do some comparison to the Denon Prime Go, and just this week announced their newest piece of Technology: euphonia

The Professional 4-channel rotary mixer that combines euphoric sound with digital clarity and analog richness from Rupert Neve Designs transformers. At the heart, high-quality 32-bit A/D and D/A converters as well as 96kHz/64bit floating point mixing processing operations in the digital signal processing (DSP) technology

When it comes to the features and profile of this high end mixer, there are many things that caught my eye:

  • Uniquely developed mechanism for the faders (benefiting from optimum weighting)
  • Energy Visualizer for understanding overall sound at first glance
  • Next-generation 3Band Master Isolator that transforms sensibility into sound at your will
  • Highest-quality isolator knobs that are torque loaded for rapid turns from center to maximum or minimum
  • Boost Send for one-handed effects application
  • Boost Level adjustments at +12dB for dynamic performances, +6dB for sound quality adjustments, and 0dB for reverb effects without any volume boost
  • 5 built-in spatial effects - Delay, Tape Echo, Echo Verb, Reverb, Shimmer, and HPF (high-pass filter).
  • Send/Return section which you the option to connect hardware like effect pedals and Insert-type effect units (like the RMX-1000)
Full range of traditional inputs of photo, line, and digital along with Send and Return, Master + Booth, and single Mic. Additionally touted by the AlphaTheta page is Serato and Rekordbox support, which brings to light the onboard USB-C connector.

Comparing it to the size of the PioneerDJ CDJ3000s and the PLX1000 it's easy to see the new form factor measuring in at 16.90" × 13.03" x 4.72 (W × D × H) the need for a new form factor case is already foreseeable in the future.

While I don't immediately foresee an investment into this beautiful piece of technology in the near future, I'd certainly more than willingly love a demo unit from our friends at AlphaTheta so please drop me know if you read this and have someone in mind I can speak to 😎
